Brushes

So last weekend I was looking around for some new brushes to invest in. The last year(?) or so I’ve been using brushes from Rosemary & Co Artist’* Brushes and they have been great. The quality has been much better then I anticipated, not far from the W&N Series 7 and the price is even better (I can really recommend them) so I was set on buying some more from them but also decided to check some of the Swedish art supply stores** and found a great deal on a W&N S7 gift set with 4 brushes and it had a nice 60% discount so I ordered it and today it arrived. I’m really looking forward to trying them out.

I’m a firm believer in that good brushes definitely help you get better at painting. It won’t make you a GD winner but it’s so much easier to learn new techniques when you have the right tools. It doesn’t have to be S7s but I definitely think that it’s worthwhile to try Kolinsky brushes instead of synthetic ones.

Now I just have to get better at remembering to use my brush soap.

*http://www.rosemaryandco.com the best brushes for it’s price without a doubt

**I ordered it from http://www.artistica.nu/ and I think they still have it in stock.
