The Stores I Use

I usually enjoy reading about other peoples shopping experiences, good and bad. I find it a good way to weed out the bad stores and I thought that I would share my top list of online stores (my opinion).

I’m quite picky to where I shop and like everyone else I want to get the most value for my money. There are some factors that makes me deviate a bit. The price isn’t the number one thing that makes me order it. Sure it does factor in without a doubt but customer service and good communication is the big selling points for me. The other thing that would make deviate is that if I had a local gaming store I would do most of my shopping there. But then what qualifies as good value is entirely based on personal preferences.

I’m going to divide the list in two parts, Swedish and non Swedish and we’ll start with the non English stores.

Non Swedish Stores that I recommend:

Firestorm Games

I found FG when the whole Maelstrom were turning bad and decided to try them out. Since then I’ve used them quite a lot and I’ve never had any problems with them. Good prices, fast shipping, good communication. The only downside is that their selection isn’t as big as some of the other big stores.

Score: 8.5/10

Warlord Games

I like Warlord, I like their miniatures, I like and play Bolt Action. I’ve ordered from them a bunch of times and never had any problems. From what I’ve heard from friends they have slipped behind a bit lately. Most likely due to their success.

Score: 8/10

Perry Miniatures

These guys are among the best in the world. I have some boxed with their War of the Roses ranger and they are beautiful, both the sculpting and the casting. I haven’t seen any of their new WW2 line yet but I have some metal Italians on the way here. Never had a problem ordering from them.

Score: 9,5/10

Sarissa Precision

My main supplier for mdf bases. We have some of their houses at the club and I’ve build part of a Wild West table using their buildings and man they look good. Some were a bit hard to get together and the instructions could have been better but all in all, great company that keeps expanding.

Score: 8/10

Andrea Miniatures

I’ve been eying Andreaโ€™s miniatures for a long time and finally got some last year and the quality were almost too good. The look awesome, the paint up really well and yes they are quite pricy but IMO they’re worth it.

Score: 8,5/10

Swedish stores I recommend:

Alpha Spel have a big selection and as good prices as you can get here in Sweden. They also have some used miniatures and game.

Score: 8/10

Narrens Spel

Also I good store that has a pretty good selection and very nice people who runs it.

Score: 8/10

Their selection if good but a bit eclectic. Also have some awesome guys running it.

Score: 8,5/10
