Monty Python Live (Mostly) With Added Chaos

Last nigh me and two friends went to see the Monty Python Live (Mostly), live streamed from the O2 arena in London that was showing at the local cinema. I’ve been a big fan of Monty Python a big part of my life and kinda grew up watching The Flying Circus and this was the closest I will ever come to see them live for real. I went there with pretty big expectations and a bit nervous to see how they would make their material a bit more “modern” in lack of better terms. And damn, they blew my mind away. I haven’t had that much fun in a long time. Most of the material was unexpectedly the old favorites but with some new changes to them and a couple of new ones as well.

They had a great dance team that they used for all the songs. There were one or two sketches I wish they would have done but my favorite one* was in it so I’m not complaining.

They certainly have aged a lot but I think they went out with a bang.

Something Different

And Now For Something Completely Different.. Chaos

When I started building my Daemon army I bought some of the then new Daemonettes probably around the same time as the were released and until last week I haven’t done anything with them besides putting them together. I don’t like the sculpts for one second and haven’t really taken good care of them. Mostly tossing them in a box after using them. So last week I decided that enough is enough and I brought them home with me from the club and have been painting them over the last week.

Because of my not so gentle handling of them I’m missing quite a lot of arms that I just don’t have the energy to replace nor have I cleaned them up very much. But o well at least they will be painted. This far I’ve painted and based 10 of them and the rest are on the way as well. People usually talk about the 3 feet rule with quick paint jobs and with these I’m more aiming for a 5 feet rule I think.     Daemonettes-p1
