The Illustrated Historical Artist
A while back I got recruited to join the team over at Figurementors.com, which I’ve written some about here, and some time ago it was decided that we were going to try to create a digital magazine called The Illustrated Historical Artist with focus on historical miniatures and busts and I was asked if I wanted to be part of that as well and that was an easy decision to make.
After a lot of work, we got it done and released the first issue last night. I haven’t contributed with any material in this issue but hopefully in the next one.
We also decided to offer the first one free for a limited time, so we could get some feedback and see how well it was received.
So far it’s mostly been positive feedback and a couple of things that we’re improving for the next issue.
One of the best aspects, according to me, is that most of the painting articles should be of use even if you don’t paint historicals and for all skill levels.
So I would recommend anyone interested in painting to download the first issue while it’s free and check it out, and hopefully, some of you will buy the coming ones as well.
If you have any feedback, we would very much like to hear it.
The magazine is available at http://figurementors.com/illustrated-historical-artist
And for more info and if you want to submit photos of your historical miniatures or busts you can find us on our social media pages or just let me know and I’ll send it to the rest of the team.
